Capital One shares declined 2.5% to $73.50 after hours. The company reported earnings of $1.90 a share on revenue of $6.46 billion. Excluding a charge for a U.K. Payment Protection Insurance customer refund, the company would have reported earnings of $2.03 a share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast earnings of $1.94 a share on revenue of $6.4 billion.
